PNK-6 Panoramic Tank Sighting Complex
PNK-6 is designed to fulfill the following tasks:
- observation and recognition of ground and aerial targets from the tank commander’s workstation under day-light and night visibility conditions;
- target range measurement using a laser rangefinder
- target designation for the gunner;
- aimed fire from the gun and coaxial machine-gun from the commander’s workstation in the backup or semi-automatic autonomous backup control mode (in case of the gunner’s fire control system failure);
- fire by guided weapons in the backup mode using the gunner’s thermal imaging channel.
The sight is mounted in the T-84 tank fire control system and can also be used to upgrade the T-64B, T-72 and T-80 tanks.
PNK-5 consists of a sighting rangefinder with a thermal camera, an electric unit, a head control unit, a gun position sensor with a parallelogram drive and a switching unit which provides the sight coupling with the tank fire control system.
